Due to the volatile and flammable nature of ethyl acetate, its use and storage must comply with safety regulations:

Operational Protection: Operations must be carried out in a well-ventilated environment to avoid inhaling large amounts of vapor; keep away from open flames and high-temperature equipment; smoking is prohibited in the operating area; wear protective goggles and nitrile gloves if necessary to prevent skin contact with the liquid.

Storage Requirements: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse, with the temperature controlled below 30°C, away from sources of ignition, heat sources, and oxidizers (such as potassium permanganate and potassium chlorate); use corrosion-resistant glass bottles or plastic drums for storage, and avoid storing with strong acids or alkalis.

Emergency Handling: In case of leakage, immediately shut off ignition sources; absorb the leaked material with sand or inert absorbent material to prevent liquid from flowing into sewers; if large amounts of vapor are inhaled, quickly move to fresh air and seek medical attention immediately if discomfort occurs; if the liquid splashes into the eyes, immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
