Due to their different properties, isopropanol and ethanol isopropanol have different applications.

Isopropanol is mainly used in the solvent, plastics, paint, and ink industries. It can also be used as a solvent in reaction processes, such as in the synthesis of amino acids. Furthermore, isopropanol is a byproduct of the full hydrogenation of ethylene.

Ethanol isopropanol, on the other hand, is widely used in disinfectants, cleaning products, pharmaceuticals, and fragrances. Because of its low toxicity, high volatility, and lack of residue, it is an ideal disinfectant and cleaning agent.

Although both isopropanol and ethanol isopropanol are organic compounds composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, their different molecular structures and properties lead to different applications in industry and daily life.
